SUSD Bright Spots – 89th Annual FFA State Conference

Soledad High School FFA students attended the 89th Annual FFA State Conference in Fresno, April 20-25. The students loved the conference and can’t wait to hold workshops to teach their peers about the different leadership strategies learned. There was a record 7156 FFA members and guests that attended the Conference this year. Anissa Lopez-Chavez made it to State Star Reporter Finalist (out of 352, she was one of five finalists). Caine Valdez, our FFA President, was asked by Cal Poly to put on a workshop at State Conference on Saturday- and did that. Yessenia Romero was on the State FFA Choir and did beautifully. Ruby Romero was installed as a Regional Vice President where she will serve the South Coast Region (which includes FFA Chapters from Canoga Park to Campbell). It’s amazing to see these kids grow!
