MIGRANT SPEECH & DEBATE WINNERS Congratulations to three of Soledad USD’s students who placed in the Migrant Speech & Debate Contest. Maria Zamarripa, 6th grade student at San Vicente Elementary placed 3rd in the English Prepared Speech. Faustino Zamarripa, 9th grader at Soledad High School, placed 2nd in the High School Extemporaneous Speech; and Humberto Santos, 9th grade student at Soledad High School placed 2nd in Prepared Speech. Soledad High School won 1st place in Spanish Debate! Great job and thank you to Amy Mayfield for her guidance and leadership in preparing the students for the competition.
