Soledad High School Navy JROTC make an impact in our community.  The City of Soledad held its 4th annual Reuse, Recycled & Cleanup Day on September 29, 218 at the Soledad High School Parking lot. Soledad residents look forward to “clearing out their clutter” and are appreciative of the event. Our very own, Soledad High School NJROTC under the leadership of Captain Gomez and Chief Peaches and the cadets from Soledad High School, supported the event by volunteering and interacting with our community, the County of Monterey, Salinas Valley Recycles, Save the Whales, and Tri-Cities Disposal & Recycling. The NJROTC split up – all volunteering at four events on the same day! Students were helpful, and assisted our residents in determining the best place for their items while separating and unloading their vehicles. They also volunteered at the Salinas Air Show this year, Annual Back to School Event and are always at the Board meetings presenting the Colors! They are truly a great asset to our district, our community and county-wide. They have carved out a great reputation throughout the county – great job- we are very proud of you and thank you Captain Gomez, Chief Peaches and Chief Dunn for your leadership!
