iPad Deployment Schedule for Grades 7-12

Attention parents of secondary students:
We will begin sending calls to notify students of when they can come pick up their new iPad. Parents do not need to come.

Please note we are only scheduling students who have turned in their old iPad and do not owe any tech fees.

 

We will schedule AP students first, then we will schedule 12th graders and work our way down the grade levels until we reach 7th graders. Please allow us several weeks to reach every student.
If your student still has not turned in their old iPad, please have them take it to the district office as soon as possible so we can include them in the schedule for their grade level. If your student still owe’s fees please call the district office to make payment arrangements and make a payment so we can include them in the schedule for their grade level.
Please allow us 3 weeks to receive our schedule phone call.


Schedule for AP students only:
 Please note parents do not need to come, only the student needs to come, as space is limited. You will be picking up your iPad in room 401 at Soledad High School, and the process should take about an hour or so.
AP students only: If your last name starts with A or B, please come Tuesday, July 25 at 9am.
AP students only: If your last name starts with C, please come Tuesday July 25 at 10am.
AP students only: If your last name starts with D, E or F, please come Tuesday, July 25 at 11am.

Attention parents of 7th grade and new secondary students who have not previously checked out an iPad:

We are finally ready to process what is needed for your child to get their new iPad. Remember, we need you to sign an iPad agreement and watch our iPad guideline video with us.

If you have not yet watched our iPad guideline video which for 7th grade students was shown in your child’s 6th grade classroom at the end of last school year, please plan on attending to watch the video during any of these sessions mentioned in this message. Those of you who emailed us your parent email address per the instructions on the letter sent home will soon receive the iPad agreement via email for e-signature. If you have not yet sent us your parent email address, please do so by sending an email from your parent email address to [email protected], in the subject line please put “update parent email address”, and in the body of the email please tell us your child’s full name, birthdate, grade level and the school they attended during 6th grade. As soon as you email us, we can email you the iPad agreement for e-signature.

During the video sessions scheduled, you will have an opportunity to sign the iPad agreement if you do not have an email address. If you already watched the video but need to sign the agreement and do not have an email address, you can pick up a copy of the iPad agreement at the district office to be returned no later than Friday, August 4. If you still need to watch the iPad video please wait until you watch the video to get a copy of the iPad agreement.

Video Sessions will be in room 406 at Soledad High School. Please note our doors will close 15 minutes after the time scheduled since this is the time we will begin to play the video, so please arrive promptly. The video is about 15 minutes long.

If you cannot attend any of these please call Technology department 831-678-3987 to schedule an appointment.

Once you have signed the agreement and watched the video, we will be able to schedule your student on Monday, August 7th and Tuesday, August 8th to pick up their iPads (parents do not need to come).

You will receive another call before Monday, August 7th to let you know when your child can pick up their new iPad, depending on the first letter of their last name.


Make-up sessions for students in grades 8-12:

Please note this message is not for new students who have not yet checked out an iPad. Returning students: If you are unable to attend your scheduled times due to work schedule, or you hadn’t turned in your old iPad or made a payment on your tech fees, you can come to the following make-up sessions in room 401 at Soledad High School:

We have two more make-up sessions for grades 8-12 to pickup their new iPad:

2:30-3:30pm for last names Q-T
3:30pm-4:30pm for last names U-Z

Thursday, 8/3 for grades 11, 12 and AP students:

2:30-3:30pm for last names Q-T
3:30pm-4:30pm for last names U-Z

 

Please note doors close an hour after the time is scheduled and space is very limited so please arrive on time so we can try to get through as many students as possible.

Payments toward technology debt will not be accepted during these sessions, so please be sure any tech payments are made at the district office before you come to pick up your iPad. Please bring your old iPad if you still have it.

If you are still unable to come during those times, you will be getting your new iPad when school begins.


7th grade & new students update

This message is for new students and 7th grade students.  If parents have already signed the agreement and watched our guideline video, students are cleared to come pick up their iPad.  Please note if you emailed us from your parent email address per the instructions in the letter you received, we have sent you the iPad agreement to your email address for electronic signature, please e-sign the document before Monday.
Please note parents do not need to come, only the student needs to come, as space is limited and the process might take up to three hours. If you can’t make it before doors close, please note you will get your iPad when school starts.
You will be picking up your iPad in room 401 at Soledad High School.
If your last name is A through E, please come Monday, August 7th at 9am.
If your last name is F through L, please come Monday, August 7th at 2pm.
If your last name is M through Q, please come Tuesday, August 8th at 9am.
If your last name is R through Z, please come Tuesday, August 8th at 2pm.
Doors close half hour after your scheduled appointment to allow enough time to complete the process.
If you can’t make it before doors close, please note you will get your iPad when school starts.
