Welcome to the Soledad Unified School District!

Our district is proud to employ nearly 600 dedicated educators, including certificated and classified employees and administrators, who work tirelessly to serve our students and families each day. At Soledad USD, we are committed to providing the best possible education in environments that are both emotionally and physically safe. Our goal is to engage students in learning that promotes early literacy, foundational skills, critical thinking, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) as well as social-emotional learning. From kindergarten through 12th grade, we nurture our students' aspirations with comprehensive college and career education.

We are also dedicated to empowering parents and families to support their children's learning. Our new Family Resource Center, which opened in September 2023, has quickly become a beacon of hope, offering classes, training, services, and engagement opportunities. We extend our gratitude to our parent partners who serve on School Site Councils, English Learner Advisory Committees, and the Local Control and Accountability Plan Advisory Committee.  

Our educators are committed to continuous professional development to enhance classroom teaching and learning. Every Wednesday, our grade-level and subject area Professional Learning Teams meet to assess student learning and ensure quality, standards-based instruction. Key focus areas include Foundational Literacy, Assessment, Mathematics, and Constructing Meaning—promoting the use of academic language by our Multilingual Learners and all students.

I would also like to acknowledge our Board of Trustees for their compassionate and visionary leadership. Their guidance and oversight are invaluable to our district, and I am deeply grateful for their service and involvement.

We look forward to continuing to provide quality educational services to our students and families in the Soledad community.
