2024-25 OPENING OF SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENT

On behalf of the Board of Trustees and Staff, we are pleased to announce the opening of school for 2024-25 school year.

All district students are to report to their classes for the first day of instruction on Wednesday, August 14, 2024. Note that the school start times for the 2024-25 school year will be the same as last school year. A schedule of school arrival and dismissal times is shown below. The start time for all grades is 8:00am (except Pinnacles High School which starts at 8:30am).

Virtual RegistrationNew for this school yearwe are introducing a new Virtual Registration Process (VRP) through the Aeries Parent Portal. The purpose of the VRP is to reduce the use of paper, and to allow changes in student and parent data to be promptly recorded in our student information system.  Through the VRP, student registration will be completed electronically. Packets will not be mailed out.  A virtual packet of information describing schedules, policies, and parents’ rights is accessible online.    This system allows parents to read, update, and sign all necessary documents online, ensuring a seamless registration experience. Parents are asked to login to the Aeries Parent Portal account to get started at soledadusd.aeries.net and click on the Parent/Student iconYou may use the QR code shown to the right to access the Aeries Parent Portal which contains the registration packet. Note that a parent email address is required for this electronic registration process.  School sites and the Family Resource Center are available to help any parent who needs support with the VRP.  The FRC Phone number is 831-678-3950 Ext. 00201. The FRC is located at 441-A Main St. Parents may log on to the District Website at https://soledadusd.org/ for tutorials and schedule for in-person support sessions.

TDAPAll 7th through 12th grade students are required to have proof of Tdap immunization in order to attend school.  Please bring a copy of your child’s immunization record to registration at Main Street Middle School, Soledad High School, or the Community Education Center, if this has not already been provided to the school office.  Students in grades 7-12 without proof of Tdap immunization will not be allowed to attend school until proof of Tdap immunization is provided to the school.

Schedules & Class AssignmentsFor students in Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten through the 6th grade, teacher and room assignments will be available through the Aeries Parent Portal or at each elementary school site by Tuesday, August 13th, 4:00 p.m. Class schedule distribution for Main Street M.S. is scheduled for August 5-7th.  Class schedule distribution for Soledad H.S. is scheduled for July 30th-August 2nd. Completion of the VRP is required for students to be able to pick up their schedules. It is recommended that parents accompany their students to pick up their class schedules if they have not already registered through the VRP.  The Community Education Center/Pinnacles High School will send out separate letters informing parents of student class schedules.

Start & End TimesOn the first day of school and thereafter, breakfast will be served beginning at 7:30 a.m. School starting and ending times are listed below for your reference. Elementary schools will also issue separate letters to all Kindergarten and Transitional Kindergarten parents, informing you of the session your child is to attend.
