Dear Soledad Unified School District Community,
Our hearts are heavy as we witness the devastating impact of the wildfires in Los Angeles and surrounding areas. The destruction caused by these fires is unimaginable, and many families are facing significant loss, uncertainty, and hardship during this time.
As a district, we stand in solidarity with those affected. Some of us -- employees, parents and students -- have family, friends, or colleagues in the impacted areas, and our thoughts and prayers are with them.
This is also a reminder of the strength and compassion that exists within our Soledad community. I encourage us all to offer support and outreach to loved ones or colleagues who have family in the fire-stricken areas of L.A. or simply keep those affected -- victims, first responders, fellow educators, students and families -- in our thoughts and hearts.
With empathy,
Randy Bangs
Superintendent
