Important Safety Update: Soledad Education Foundation Carnival

Posted Date: 04/16/26 (06:40 PM)

The Soledad Education Foundation is proud to once again host its Annual Carnival at Frank Ledesma School, a cherished community tradition staffed by our dedicated school and district employees along with student volunteers. Proceeds from the carnival directly support our students and staff through scholarships for graduating seniors and grants for teachers and school programs.

As we prepare for this year’s event, we want to take a moment to address questions and concerns regarding safety that have been shared on social media.

The safety of our students, families, and staff is our highest priority. Based on our experiences from last year, we have taken additional steps to significantly enhance security measures at this year’s carnival:

  • We have hired private security personnel to support event supervision
  • We have partnered with the Soledad Police Department, and two officers will be assigned on-site throughout the event
  • We will have increased adult supervision across the carnival grounds
In addition, to further ensure a safe environment:
  • 🚫 Backpacks will not be allowed inside the carnival
  • 👜 Purses and all bags will be subject to search at the entrance
These measures are in place to help ensure a safe, enjoyable experience for everyone attending.  We remain committed to providing a positive and secure environment for our community. We look forward to families coming together to enjoy this special event while supporting a great cause.

Thank you for your continued support of our schools and students.
